The Estonian FRAM distributor Automeister decided to focus on cabin air filters in 2007. A good choice as we often see that cabin air filters are not as often replaced as they should, due to difficult fitting or only caring about the engine, and not about the health and comfort of the passengers. Automeister initiated a cabin air filter campaign, rewarding the best customers with a trip to Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana.

The Sogefi factory is located outside Ljubljana, in Medvode. The factory is relatively new. In 2000 the current factory was built; 10.000 m2 with 152 employees and a production capacity of 7 million filters in 2006. We were guided around the factory and informed about all the steps in the production process of the oil-, air- and cabin air filters. In some areas we found some carbon dust as the so called combined cabin air filters were produced; the media contains active carbon so that not only the dust particles and the pollen are filtered, also harmful and smelly gasses are stopped from entering the car.

After the factory visit there was some time for entertainment by visiting the beautiful city Ljubljana and the nearby caves.
