Sogefi Filtration informs garages about the dangers of bad performing cabin air filters
Sogefi Filtration will inform 6.000 garages in the Netherlands and 3.200 garages in Belgium about the necessity for the public health to replace the cabin air filters in time.
‘Cabin air filter check should be part of standard car maintenance check’ Cees van Duin, director of Sogefi Filtration B.V.: “In the beginning of this year the media has, as a result of an investigation initiated by us, awakened the consumers about the necessity of a well performing cabin air filter. A big article in one of the national newspapers with the headline “Air alarm in the car” did not lie about it. Bad performing cabin air filters let bacteria and gases have free scope in the car, causing serious health risks for heart and blood vessels. The message was intensified by a picture of a car driver wearing a gas mask in his car. To cut it both ways, we want to inform the garages with this mailing that they are responsible when it comes to replacing the cabin air filter on time, for the sake of the car passengers’ health. With a direct mail to almost 10.000 garages we insist on a thorough inspection of the cabin air filters during the standard maintenance check, and, if necessary, to replace the cabin air filters. It is in the interest of the car driver’s health, but also in the interest of the garage itself.”
